Death of Elizabeth II: the fortune that the queen bequeaths to the children of the Crown

Queen Elizabeth II died Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the age of 96. Her assets will be inherited by her descendants, of whom she was the mother of four children, grandmother of eight grandchildren and great-grandmother of twelve great-grandchildren.

His reign was the longest in UK history. After 70 years of reign, Queen Elizabeth II died this Thursday, September 8, 2022, in her Balmoral castle in Scotland. An hour after the announcement of the monarch’s death, her eldest son, Prince Charles automatically becoming the new king, takes the name of Charles III, as he announced in an emergency allowance.

Queen Elizabeth, with her husband, Prince Philip who died in April 2021, was the mother of four children, each of whom had two children: Prince Charles (born in 1948), Princess Anne (born in 1950), Prince Andrew (born in 1960) and Prince Edward (born in 1964).

The Queen’s Royal Legacy

Having legitimately become King of the United Kingdom, Charles III did not only inherit the throne on the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who possessed a colossal and above all very diversified personal fortune. Castles, jewellery, stamps… Between properties belonging to the British Crown, each member of the royal family will have their share of the cake.

First, the new sovereign will enjoy the property that belongs directly to the British Crown estimated at 28 billion euros by Forbes magazine, among others, Buckingham Palace, tens of thousands of jewels, 200,000 works of art.
